"I have been practicing yoga for almost 3 years. I completely fell in love with it. What began as only an avenue to exercise, has turned into a passion. The more I practiced, the more I began to feel more and more compelled to begin the journey of committing myself to learning all that I can about the ancient practice of yoga." Currently Bill is working on his 500RYT training certification at Yoga-Faith in Seattle, Washington, scheduled to graduate in July 2016.
"My goal is to learn all I can the rest of my life, and share this ancient and wonderful art with as many people as I possibly can, by taking the role of teacher as well as student, until my very last breath." Outside of the studio, Bill is also an artist and poet, with a deep love for all things outdoors and a passion for helping others.
"My primary mission being a larger than average sized Yogi at 6'4" and 270 pounds is to help all people realize that yoga is for everyone, regardless of race, age, gender, religious affiliation, or lack thereof, body size, type or physical limitations, and share this transforming art to help people live a healthier and more peaceful life." We at Living Yoga look forward to serving you. Namaste
Nicole Schneider RYT 200 Nicole has been practicing yoga for the past ten years as a complement to her workout regimen but her yoga journey has blossomed into so much more than just a physical workout.
Her practice has been a transformation, which has strengthened her mind, body, and spirit.
An athlete all her life - playing volleyball, soccer and marathon running - Nicole was devastated after suffering a volleyball injury which led to two ACL knee surgeries and difficult rehabilitation. Yoga has brought tremendous healing, strength, serenity, awareness and authentic truth to her life.
Forever a student, Nicole believes that yoga is a journey of continuous growth. She completed her yoga teaching certification through CorePower Yoga in April 2016. She is grateful to be able to share her practice with others and to guide them on their own yoga journey. Namaste.
Joy Marz has been involved in dance and fitness since age 12. As a Student Teacher she is in the process of completing her CYT/RYT 200 teacher training. After a serious neck injury in 2007, yoga helped her find freedom in movement again while nourishing mind-body-spirit. When not enjoying the great outdoors, she is dedicated to continuing education as being a "student" is just as important as being a "teacher". If you are ready to explore, reconnect and destress... Reserve your spot now! Looking forward to seeing you on the mat!
Yolanda Lazano I am a spiritual guide and healer. I have studied with many Masters from the East learning yoga, ancestral healing techniques, shamanism, oracle and angel card reading and oneness blessing. The tools that I use are practical and affordable and most of them are already within us.I am here to share from several points of view:
as a practitioner of energy work and sound as a mother as an entrepreneuras a sound teacher that acts as a bridge between heaven and earth, assisting individuals to reconnect themselves.
What I do during personal sessions varies according to what I sense and feel about the client in that moment. I meet them where they are and give them the tools to follow their own journey to balance.
Divine Intuition is my guide and I rely on my life’s journey to assist the individual to create solutions. I listen carefully to what I’m being told, not just to the words, but to the real message underneath, getting to the core issues while leaving the superficial behind. Sometimes the message is about these issues: Creating sacred space for self-inquiry, asking, “what stands in the way of my connection with myself? Health: illness, nutrition, exercise Emotional balancing Clearing energy that’s trapped in the body Helping to connect with the heart Fears from the past and the future I have spent the last thirty years assisting individuals, groups and families clear past traumas, heal their relationships, emotions, and sense of well-being which allows them to reconnect to Source and their inner guidance.
Lynn Krivanec RYT 200 received her 200-hour Yoga Alliance training through Gawea Yoga, in Lockport, IL. As she began to feel the transformation and healing yoga had in her life, she felt inspired to share that gift with others. Lynn believes the mind, body and soul connection is a sacred one, and one that should be nurtured. With that mentality, she teaches her classes from the heart, creating and uplifting and healing environment for students to begin to explore and expand within their own body and consciousness. When teaching, she hopes for her students to find balance mentally, physically and spiritually, providing them with a practice they can take from their mat, to their daily lives.
Tammy Smith - Lisk
CYT 200, After years of ballet, team sports, racing mountain bikes, sparring and Taekwondo, Tammy’s body began to rebel against her and she sustained numerous injuries. Even after a second ACL reconstruction, Tammy was determined to maintain her active lifestyle and she began her journey of healing through yoga. Tammy had been taking yoga classes at her local gym and noticed profound changes in her physical, mental and spiritual self. She felt stronger, yet calmer; grounded, yet free. Tammy discovered Yoga as a means of healing her body, mind and spirit while preventing injuries. Yoga had brought Tammy’s performance to a higher level and she went on to achieve her second black belt in Taekwondo and to take Grand Championship in board breaking in the women and men’s division. This encouraged Tammy to become a yoga instructor in order to obtain as much information as possible and to share her discoveries with others. Tammy received her 200 hour Hatha Yoga Instructor Certification from Soder World Academy of the Healing Arts with a focus on proper body alignment. Since then Tammy has added Pilates to her portfolio, received her Certification as a PiYo instructor, CIZE instructor, Silver Sneakers instructor (keeping the 65 and older folks moving) and a personal trainer through NASM - National Academy of Sports Medicine with an emphasis on corrective exercise. Tammy is determined to help others reach their goals, find balance in life and be the best they can be.
Diana has dedicated her life to self expression through yoga and dance. She has studied with dozens of master teachers over the past decade, and was certified in Yogic Arts by Duncan Wong in 2002. Diana feels her calling is to be a humble and lifelong student. Her energetic, compassionate, and sometimes humorous approach allows students to learn, grow, laugh and smile even in the most difficult of poses. 2015 marked lucky number 13 years of teaching and has led Diana to embrace all she has learned from her gurus (Seane Corn, Shiva Rea, Nancy Gilgoff, Rod Stryker, Sharon Gannon, Sharon Denton, Dharma Mittra and Kathryn Budig to name a few). She continues to explore her path, teaching, and being of service in the addictions and eating disorder community.
E-RYT 200 Loreta Medoniene started practicing yoga in her late thirties shortly after moving to US from Europe. Accidentally coming upon the yoga class in the local YMCA she intuitively knew it was the beginning of her healing process.
Diagnosed with severe scoliosis in her early teens she was placed into physical therapy for years, underwent some intense treatments such as bracing, casting, was completely excused from the physical education during high school and college years. But only through yoga she had finally found a relief from the back pain, regained her core and muscle strength and stamina.
Yoga had helped Loreta to heal her heart too - only on the mat she found a peace and love for her life as a single parent and immigrant. Yoga taught her dedication, perseverance but also patience and non attachment. What she likes about yoga that it is an endless practice: there's always another pose to try, another lesson to learn, new variations to explore, new challenges to meet, more inward depth to discover.
Loreta found joy and a purpose in teaching yoga, by sharing the knowledge that helps her to live a healthy balanced life.
RYT 200 I love yoga and all its gifts, on and off the mat. I began practicing after lower back surgery 20 years ago. Through the years as a speech pathologist, I began introducing yoga into my therapy sessions with special needs children and adults on an individual basis. Seeing the changes and benefits for every type of body and mind inspired me to continue my personal study and become a registered yoga instructor.I was taught very early in my training by a wonderful yogi that we (as teachers) hold space for our students. That is my goal, to share my love for yoga and hold non-judgmental, compassionate, supportive space for my students to build, explore and deepen their practice.
I am always learning, always a student of yoga and life. My style continues to evolve and encompass the needs of my class whether that's an intuitive flow or focus on alignment. Come live, love and breathe with me.
